Summary of Clinical Use Click here for help
Ofloxacin has been used to treat bacterial infections of the skin, lungs, prostate, or urinary tract, pelvic inflammatory disease and Chlamydia and/or gonorrhea. Due severe side-effects ofloxacin is only indicated for systemic use if safer antibacterials are ineffective. Clinical use is now largely restricted to topical administration as eye and ear drops.
