Compound class:
Endogenous peptide in human, mouse or rat
Comment: Gastrin-6 is the smallest circulating bioactive gastrin in humans. It is found in sulfated and nonsulfated forms, with sulphation increasing efficacy [1].

Bioactivity Comments |
Gastrin-6 has a higher potency but a lower efficacy than gastrin-17 [1]. Reported EC50 values for maximum acid output are 43, 24, and 25 pM, for gastrin-17, sulfated gastrin-6, and nonsulfated gastrin-6 respectively [1]. We have been unable to find provenanced affinity data for gastrin-6 vs. the cholecystokinin B receptor. |
