ML364 also inhibits ACE2 deubiquitination by SARS-CoV-2 PLpro (this action of PLpro increases ACE2 abundance and potential for host cell infection).

ML364 effectively reduces SARS-CoV-2 infection and disease in a human ACE2 transgenic mouse model [1]. It inhbits infection of Calu-3 cells by SARS-CoV-2 with an IC50 of 4 μM.
