Bioactivity Comments
In vitro activity against a panel of Gram-positive and Gram-negative clinical bacteria strains is reported in [1]. This study found that rifabutin is particularly active against Mycobacterium tuberculosis with MIC90 for rifampicin-sensitive isolates in the range of 3-6 ng/ml. It has also been shown to inhibit strains of the Mycobacterium avium complex [3].
