Glycine recycling: Introduction

The glycine cleavage system (a.k.a. the glycine decarboxylase complex) is composed of four mitochodrially located proteins that act in concert to regulate glycine levels. The four components are the P-protein (GLDC), the T-protein (GCST; AMT), the L-protein (GCSL; DLD) and the H-protein (GCSH).
