Chemical Modification
The amino terminal is tolacetylated and the carboxy terminal is amidated. Cys1 and Trp3 are D-amino acids, X2 is Apa (3-aminopropionic acid) and X4 is Orn (ornithine). The peptide is cyclic with a disulphide bond forming between the Cys residues.
