Romiplostim is known as a peptibody, a fusion between the Fc portion of immunoglobulin and a therapeutic peptide. In this case the drug exists as a heterodimer. The carboxy terminal 14 amino acid residues of this peptibody constitute the thrombopoietin receptor binding domain (single letter amino acid code: IEGPTLRQWLAARA).
