Bioactivity Comments
The active metabolite of upamostat, WX-UK1, inhibits plasmin directly and indirectly (through inhibition of uPA-mediated plasminogen activation) and this leaads to a significant reduction in primary tumour growth and metastasis in preclinical models [1,5].
