Immunoglobulin C1-set domain-containing proteins: Introduction

The C1-set domain is a classical Ig (antibody) constant domain-like region. It is predominantly found in proteins of the immune system., including proteins of the MHC class I and II complex, and a number of T cell receptors.
FcRn (FCGRT) is a C1-set domain-containing protein that is important for developing immunity in the neonate [1], and for regulating IgG levels in the mature immune system [2].
