Comment: Chlortetracycline is a tetracycline antibacterial, originally isolated from Kitasatospora aureofaciens (formerly Streptomyces aureofaciens), and the first compound from this class to be discovered [3-5]. Note that the structure shown here matches the CAS-assigned structure.
