Members of the ROR family appear to be activated by ligands complexing with other cell-surface proteins. Thus, ROR1 and ROR2 appear to be activated by Wnt-5a (WNT5A, P41221) binding to a Frizzled receptor thereby forming a cell-surface multiprotein complex [1].
