Disease ID:73
Name:Antiphospholipid syndrome
Associated with:1 target

Disease Ontology: DOID:2988
OMIM: 107320
Orphanet: ORPHA80

Targets

C5a1 receptor
Role:  C5aR functions as the activating receptor for neutrophils in antiphospholipid syndrome, neutrophil activation leads to the oxidative damage and pregancy loss characteristic of aPLS. Mice deficient in C5, or pharmacological blockage of C5aR, exhibit increased foetal growth and decreased foetal loss in aPLS.
