Comment: Human beta-defensin 4A is an antimicrobial peptide originally identified in psoriatic skin lesions [1]. It has potent antimicrobial activity against Gram-negative bacteria and the yeast Candida albicans but not the Gram-positive Staphylococcus aureus [1].
