Mepyramine suppresses the symptoms of allergic rhinitis. This drug does not have marketing approval in the US or European Union. Other national approval agencies may have granted marketing authorisation. For example, in the UK mepyramine is the active ingredient in a number of over the counter bite and sting relief antihistamine creams. In some countries mepyramine may only be used in veterinary practice.
