Comment: Compound 25 [PMID: 28038940] was developed alongside compound 5 [PMID: 28038940], but is a marginally more potent TAK1 (MAP3K7) inhibitor in biochemical enzyme activity assays than compound 5 [1]. It has potential anti-inflammatory action, having been shown to normalise induced cytokine secretion from synovial fibroblasts isolated from a patient with rheumatoid arthritis [1].
