Bioactivity Comments
Atovaquone-resistance is observed in the clinical malaria isolate TM90C2B, and this has been attributed to a mutation (Y268S) in the Qo site ot the parasite's cytochrome b protein, indicating that cytochrome b is the likely primary molecular target of atovaquone [4].
